Helgalle elämä on aina ollut keskimääräistä jännittävämpää. Pennuista Helga ei välitä ollenkaan, ja Sagan tullessa se muuttui niin vetäytyneeksi että katsoimme parhaaksi sijoittaa sen ainoaksi koiraksi serkkujeni perheeseen. Vuodenvaihteessa 2008-2009 aloimme aavistella että Helgan näkö ei ole aivan normaali, ja pääsiäisenä 2009 sillä diagnosoitiin PRA. Helga sokeutui muutamassa kuukaudessa ja sen elämänilo hupeni näön myötä. Ainoana koirana olo ei enää ollutkaan mitään herkkua, joten Helga sai seurakseen kasvinsiskonsa Wandan ja molemmat ovat nyt tyytyväisiä Piian ja Vesan perheessä.

For Helga life has always been a bit more exciting than for the rest of us. Helga does not like puppies at all, and when Saga came home, Helga became so withdrawn that we approved it be best that Helga moved to live with my cousin's family as the only dog. At the turn of the year 2008-2009 we begun to notice that everything is not quite alright with her eyes. At Easter 2009 she was diagnosed PRA. She became totally blind in few months, and her exuberance seemed to diminish along with her eyesight. Being the only dog in the house wasn't the best option anymore, and so we decided that Wanda should move in to be Helga's guide dog and companion, for they grew up together and already knew each other. Now they both lead a happy life with Piia and Vesa's family.
